She was predeceased by: her parents, Marquis Lashley and Gertrude Lashley; and her husband Arthur Robert Meenen. She is survived by: her children, Laura Meenen Griepp and Robert Meenen; her son-in-law George Griepp; her grandchildren, Daniel Meenen, Jacob Meenen, Eric Brown and Emily Obasade; and her great grandchildren, Aulelei Kennach, Leelana Kennach, Emma Robinson, Daniel Meenen (Danny), Luke Meenen, Keegan Meenen and Rowan Meenen.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Gross Funeral Home (120 Wrights St, Hot Springs, AR 71913).

Memorial Donations: In lieu of flowers, Irene asked that donations be made to Midtowne Church in Benton, Arkansas in memory of Irene Meenen.
