She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Hicks and Mary Hicks; her husband Donald E. Carpenter; her daughter Debbie Carpenter; her grandson Jason Carpenter; and her siblings, Bob Hicks and Linda Lanier.

She is survived by: her son Michael Carpenter (Denise); her granddaughter Samantha Clanton (Shane); her granddaughter-in-law Normy Carpenter; her great grandchildren, Mason, Mackenzie, Maddie Clanton, Cassie and Colton Carpenter; and her sister-in-law Jean Hicks. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
