He is survived by: his son John Richard Gillmore (Virginia); his granddaughters, April Mitchell (William), Amber Whitt (Trevor) and Alicia Atchley (Brittney); and his great grandchildren, Sean, Sara, Harvey Whitt, Tala and Ziva Mitchell.
