He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Rena Robertson King; his son Joseph Newton King III; and his stepson Charles Edward Fitzhugh. He is survived by: his father Joseph Newton King, Sr.; his wife Diane King; his daughters, Mandy Shutt, Samantha Argetsinger (Tim) and Cindy Fitzhugh; and his brother Mike King (Becky). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Joe's honor.
