She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Dudley and Viola Talitha Cummings Chaney; her former husband Joseph Edwin Gibson Sr.; her siblings, Lorene Bagley, Emogene Watts, Floyd Chaney, Joe Chaney and David Chaney; and her granddaughter Karis Willis (Baby Susky).

She is survived by: her husband Joe; her children, Tammy Gail Collier (Michael Collier) and Joseph Edwin Gibson Jr. (Detra Gibson); her grandchildren, Nathaniel Collier, Heather Susky (Andrew Susky), Samuel Collier, Seth Collier (Mary Collier), Kirstie Hudson (Andrew Hudson) and Zoe Szabad (Jared Szabad); her great grandchildren, Callie Willis, Henley Nations, Hayes Hudson and Emma Collier; and her sister-in-law Anna Chaney. She is also survived by niece and nephews.
