We bid farewell to Michael E. West of Benton, Arkansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 8, 2025 at the age of 80. Michael touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Michael shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Michael farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin West and Alma Wynn West. He is survived by: his wife Sharon of Benton; his daughters, Melinda Shelton (Bart) of Benton and Cindy Purifoy (Jason) of Chidester; his sisters, Romona Weatherford (Lynn) of Dumas and Regenia Barrett (Randy) of Star City; and his grandchildren, Michael "Marty" Shelton and Mallory Shelton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Freewill Baptist Church (209 Church St, Star City, AR 71667). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
