She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Pierce and Betty Pierce (Sosbee); her husband Sonny James (Ed); her son Johnnie Hyer; and her siblings, Allen, Doug, John, Wayne Pierce, Phyllis Smith, Jackie Zonell and Launa Pierce.
She is survived by: her children, Oliver Hyer, Dennis Hyer and Terrie Martin; and her siblings, Carl Pierce (Connie), David Pierce, Serena Honeycutt (Jodie) and Terrie Williams (Berry). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
