He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Furnish and Ruth Furnish; and his aunt Ruth Furnish. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Beck Furnish; his sister Kathy Crouch (Joe); his nieces, Martha Crouch and Susannah Crouch Auld (Justin); and his great-niece Riley Auld.
In lieu of flowers, Shearle's wish was for donations in his name to Nature Conservancy.
