He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Kitchens and Tommie Joe Kitchens. He is survived by: his wife Dorena; his children, Monica Russell (Bobby), Peyton, Brayden and Jason Byrd; his great grandchildren, Everleigh and Rowan; his sister Patsy James (Jerry); his niece Jana Toler (Wes); his nephews, Jared Toler (Megan) and Drake Toler; and his cousin Jimmie Richards.
