It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Angelika B. Benker of Bentonville, Arkansas, who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Angelika B. may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Irmgard Lopatta and Wolfgang Lopatta; and her husband Hartmut. She is survived by: her former husband Paul Dwain Hickey; her daughter Andrea Goudy (Tim); her granddaughter Parker Gregory (Austin); her great grandchildren, Everett and Kenneth; and her siblings, Monica Miller (Don), Wolfgang and Harold (Lisa).
The military honors will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery (2400 Suydam Rd, Sandwich, IL 60548). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at 49 Sugar Ln, Sugar Grove, IL 60554.
