Deon G. Starks Obituary
Deon G. Starks, age 49, passed away peacefully in Bentonville, Arkansas on Sunday, February 6, 2022. He was born July 25, 1972 in Atchison, Kansas to Debra G. Jones and Orlo Louis Starks. Deon graduated from Northside High School of Fort Smith, AR in 1990.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Orlo Stephen Starks and his sister Alayna Starks; his maternal grandmother Ruth (Lester) Brown of Fort Smith, AR and paternal grandmother Katherine Ross of Atchison, KS; his maternal grandfather Herbert Jones of Fort Smith, AR; his grandfather James Hill of Kansas City, MO and grandfather Warner Ross of Atchison, KS; his uncle Todd Jones of Oklahoma City, OK; uncle Kenneth Ross of Atchison, KS; uncle Henry Tanner of Duncanville, TX; and his aunt Janice Ross of Atchison, KS.
He is survived by his mother Debra G. Jones of Fort Smith, AR and his father Orlo Louis (Susan) Starks of Wichita, KS. He is survived by 7 siblings; 3 sisters - Adrienne Hill-McDade of Norcross, GA; Stacie Hill of Greenville, SC; Ashlee Starks of Wichita, KS; and 4 brothers - Rylan Hill of Fort Smith, AR; Marc Hill of Kansas City, MO; Aaron Starks of Wichita, KS; Farrell Marsh of Wichita, KS. Additionally, known as Uncle D, he is survived by 1 niece; Aaryn McDade of Norcross, GA; 3 nephews; Troy Bohannon of Greenville, SC; Dominick Fuhr of Norcross, GA; Aadrian Bohannon of Greenville, SC; and 1 great-niece; Catalina Fuhr of Norcross, GA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and many other loved ones.
Deon had a generous love for life and never met a stranger. He was fun-loving, humorous, had a big heart and never missed a chance to provide you with a birthday greeting. He had a love for dancing, cooking and helping others. He also affectionally had a couple of nicknames from family members; DD Bop and DanonSarks. He will forever be loved and missed, but never forgotten.
The Interment Service under care of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith, AR will be privately held with immediate family and close friends at an undisclosed date and time.
