He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Paxton and Sylvia Paxton; and his siblings, Larry Paxton, Gary S. Paxton Sr., Gary D. Paxton Jr. and Kayleen Horst.
He is survived by: his former wife Sheila Paxton; his children, Tina Gray and Robert Paxton; and his wife Sharon Paxton. He is also survived by five stepchildren, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
