With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Meeks of Bentonville, Arkansas, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on March 11, 2024 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ellen Meeks to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Bien and Mary Vlcek Bien; her daughter Linda Vandenbos; and her sisters, Nancy Sabaj and Carol Thomas.

She is survived by : her children, Steve York and Mary York Barnes; and her grandchildren, Kristy Thompson, Julie Muhlethaler, Seth Barnes, Sandy Vandenbos, Stephanie Murphy and Hayden Barnes. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, as well as many cherished friends.

The family requests that memorial donations in Mary Ellen Meeks' name be made to either "Samaritan House (https://www.samcc.org)" or to "Ellen's Memorial Garden at Osage Terrace" in her honor.
