She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Schramer and Irene Schramer (Lies); her husband James Fitzsimmons, Jr.; her siblings, Betty Auwaeter and Donald Schramer; and her granddaughter Kate Marie Lowrey.

She is survived by: her children, Dale Fitzsimmons (Kathleen), Mark Fitzsimmons, Kaye Marie Donahoe (Daniel), Lou Ann Price (Dale) and James Fitzsimmons III (Ilse). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
