Jay Johnson Obituary

We announce the death of Jay Johnson of Birdeye, Arkansas, who passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 61. Jay will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Jay will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Jay will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Jay’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Joe and Ellen Louise Johnson (Heath). He is survived by: his wife Betty Johnson; his brother Paul Don Johnson (Marie) of Dardanelle; and his children, Ray Denham (Becky) of Paragould, Sheri Bobo (Byron) of Jonesboro and Mary Williams (Keith) of Paragould. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
