He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Edward and Gladys Perrine McElhannon; his wife Betty Payne McElhannon; his sons, Larry McElhannon and Billy McElhannon; and his daughter-in-law Margaret Lynn McElhannon.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Matthew McElhannon (Amanda) of Bismarck and Daniel McElhannon (Becky) of Bismarck; and his great grandchildren, Katie, Kacey and Myles McElhannon.
