He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryan Powell and Mary Wells Powell; his wife Cleda Powell; his daughters, Janie Moody and Polly Owens; and his siblings, Noble, Oscar Powell and Tommie Holden.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Schneider (Ken Knight), Cindy Byford (Lance) of Blytheville and Karen Simpson (Mike) of Austin, Arkansas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
