He is survived by: his daughter Elise Elizabeth Palmer; his grandsons, Carson of Centerton, Arkansas. and Collin Cobb of Centerton, Arkansas.; his sister Sandra Hales; his nephew David Bryan Hales (Anna); and his great-nephew John David Hales of Clinton, Mississippi..
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cobb Funeral Home (603 W Main St, Blytheville, AR 72315). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Sinai Cemetery. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he provided an apartment and utilities to a family he did not know for a year, simply because they needed a place to stay.
