He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Stephens and Mary Elizabeth Stephens; his siblings, Clifford Everett and Linda Kay Fuches (Carl); and his nephew Greg Stephens.
He is survived by: his children, Stacy Parten (Trent) of Sienna, Texas, Stefanie Brewer (Brian) of Nolensville, Tennessee and Matthew Stephens (Kymberly) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his close friend Brenda White of Blytheville, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Logan, Madelyn Parten of Sienna, Texas, Monroe Brewer of Nolensville, Tennessee, Andrew, Jack, Mya Stephens of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Dillon Williams of Gosnell, Arkansas, Heather Pritchard (Drew) of Steele, Missouri, Jonathan Williams of Blytheville, Arkansas, Hayden Highfield of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Caitlyn Williams of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his great grandchildren, Hadley and Madison Pritchard of Steele, Missouri; his sister Mary Sue Brashear (Jack) of Alexander, Arkansas; and his former wife Jeanne Stephens of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in Gary's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Bernards Foundation.
