Carmen Czypera Obituary

Carmen Czypera, 91, of Bono, Arkansas passed away at her home on October 15, 2022. She was born on May 3, 1931 in Germany.

From a complicated and tumultuous childhood in Argentina and Germany during World War II to an amazing love and motherhood, and eventually grandmotherhood, Carmen Czypera lived an incredible life of adventure.

In her younger days, she spent time growing up in Argentina with her brother and parents. She would eventually be sent back to Germany forcefully due to World War II. It was during this time in her life that she would discover her incredible strength, even as a young teenager. After she and her brother were separated from her parents and sent to Hitler youth camps, she would eventually escape and journey across Germany in search of her parents by hopping on the top of cargo trains with other refugees. Eventually the family was reunited and able to make their way back to Argentina. Some years later, she would be rescued from her first marriage, arranged to someone abusive who took her first child away from her, by the greatest love of her life, Valentine Cyzpera. She would inherit a son named Richard. As her love was already set to come to the U.S, he would spend 2 years working in the states to save money to bring her over. They wrote letters in the meantime. Once reunited in the states, they married and had a daughter named Irene.

The family would spend their years traveling all over the U.S. enjoying camping, hiking, and exploring the outdoors together. Thousands of pictures taken, and memories made. They would share big parties and game nights with their friends. These were the happiest years of her life.

Later in life she would enjoy making memories with her grandkids and even be reunited with her first daughter. She loved working at Cindy's Cafe in Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas, spending time in her garden, with her animals, and growing old with her husband Valentine, or Wally, as she called him.

She remained beautifully strong, stubborn, open-hearted, and loving until the very end, the time of her Grand crossing. Her life was incredibly full of wonder and her time came to pass comfortably, surrounded by her loved ones. She left us on Saturday, Oct 15th, 2022 and spread her wings among her love, Wally and her 2 children, Irene and Christina, who proceeded her in passing. She will continue to live on in the memories and stories of her grandchildren and so many others who knew and loved her.
