He was predeceased by: his father Elmer Barnes; his daughter Sherry Devaughn Barnes; and his sisters, Patsy Holder and Rita Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Barnes; his children, Scotty Barnes (RoseAnn), Zachery Barnes (Jordan), Benjamin Barnes (Sam) and Kandi Wyse (Dewayne); his siblings, Jake Barnes (Barbara) and Velma Murphy (Darrell); his granddaughter Brittney Hormann; and his great grandchildren, Jordan DiBiasi, Bennett Hormann, Cody Barnes, Cayden Barnes, Keira Barnes, Kairi Barnes, Zaiden Barnes and Emerson Hormann.
