He was predeceased by: his parents, W. H. "Bill" and Vivian Miller (Phillips); his sister Zettie Lee Miller; and his grandparents, Walter and Zettie Phillips (Maness).

He is survived by: his wife Madge Miller (Howard); his sister Carrie Miller of Booneville; his nieces, Kelly Johnson of Clarksville, Loy Emmerich (Rick) and Johnnie Sides (Jim); his cousin Francis Taylor of California; his great-niece Samantha Chivers; Avie Chivers and Max Chivers. He is also survived by many friends and other relatives.

Memorials may be made to the Booneville Senior Center, Woodland Heights Church of Christ, or Booneville High School.
