She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Clifford and Lena Ella Carr (Spivey); her husband Foster Joe Wright; and her siblings, Mavis Meadows, Mary McGlawn, Frances Massa, Nita Hill, Maxine Smith and Marvin Broomhall.

She is survived by: her children, Beth Whipkey (Edward) of Booneville and Mike Wright (Shawna) of Dallas, Texas; her sister Pam Brown (Ted) of Jackson, Mississippi; and her grandchildren, Joshua Whipkey, Aaron Patridge, Ashley Patridge, Lori Whipkey, Jacob Wright, Luke Wright, Kaylee Parker and Andrew Wright. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cauthron Cemetery.
