He was predeceased by : his parents, Jay B. Metcalf and Velma Mary Metcalf (Roberts); and his brothers, Jimmy, Jerry and Jeffery Metcalf.

He is survived by : his children, Lana Wallace (Richard), Garrett Metcalf and Derick Metcalf (Cora Robinson); his sisters, Janie Reynolds, Judy Robertson and Jackie Gilmore; and his pet Winky. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
