He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fitts and Alma Heath Fitts; his wife Delores Corpier Fitts; his daughter Angie Sandidge; and his siblings, Gene, Bill, Robert, James Fitts and Bessie Cox.
He is survived by: his sons, Mike Thompson (Sherri) of Cherry Valley and Kevin Thompson (Rachelle) of Fargo; his brother Lynn Fitts of Little Rock; and his son-in-law Steve Sandidge. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
