He was predeceased by: his parents, Conley Grimes and LouVetta Fowler Grimes; his wife Shirley Conyers; his sister Helen (Bob Foster); and his brother-in-law Paul Hunt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Leah Whitted (Billy) of Lake City and Sara Grimes (Bobby Hatfield) of Hoxie; his grandchildren, Jordan Weisenbach (Seth), Hayle Bartlett, Hannah Hatfield, Mark Hatfield (Michelle Moore), Chloe Witcher (Brandin Truitt) and Will Whitted; his great grandchildren, Renle Cagle, Della Weisenbach and Colter Weisenbach; and his sister Peggy Hunt.
