Olene Cope Obituary

Olene Cope, 81, of Brookland, Arkansas passed away at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital on September 20, 2023. She was born on June 22, 1942 in Paragould, Arkansas to Eli Britt and Emogene Spencer Britt. She was a member of the Woods Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to flea markets, going to rummage sales, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include; two sons: Scott Sope of Brookland, Arkansas and Mike Cope (Donna) of Valley View, Arkansas; one daughter: Tammy Trantham (David) of Brookland, Arkansas; one sister: Lavada Ellis of Benton Harber, Michigan; six grandchildren: Libby Richardson, Samantha Cooper, Aaron Sope, Larissa Conner, Corey Cope, and MaHaley Ocampo; seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by; her parents: Eli Britt and Emogene Spencer Britt; loving husband: Jerry Cope; one son: Perry Cope; one grandson: Taylor Trantham; one brother: Roger Britt; and one sister: Sandra Gibson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Woods Chapel Baptist Church in Brookland, Arkansas with Bro. Jerry Rupard officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 6:00 p.m. until service time under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
