She was predeceased by: her mother Claude Mitchell (Oliver); her husband Rev. Ralph W. Elkins Sr.; her sons, Dale Andrew Elkins and Sonny Elkins; her grandson David Elkins; her great grandchild Madison Martin; and her siblings, Alfred Leroy Mitchell, C. W. Mitchell Jr. and Imogene Lightfoot.
She is survived by: her children, Ralph Elkins Jr. (Patsy) of Eau Claire, Joseph Elkins of Ward, James "Bib" Elkins (Evelyn) of Dowagiac, Michigan and Shirley "Diane" Bockelman (Clyde) of Cabot. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
