He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Taylor and Sarah Taylor; his wife Sharon Taylor; his son Jason Taylor; and his siblings, Mildred Hoover, Frances Hoover, Lila Jordan, Elizabeth Ann Taylor, Nina Johnson, Gladys Fulmer and Gus Taylor, Jr..

He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Thissen (James); his sister Sarah Goforth (Bill); his grandchildren, Cassidy Cates (Jason) and Jesse Harisson; and his great grandchildren, Kayden, Carson, Marissa, Matthew and Hudson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
