He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Lee and Marjorie June Edwards; and his brothers, Wayne and Thomas Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Clemmie Nell Johnson; his sons, Jimmy Lee Edwards (Stephanie) and Timothy Jay Edwards (Susan); his grandchildren, Tasha Brooks Turner (Jared), Zachory Adam Edwards (Shayla), Jacob Matthew Edwards (Ashlea), Jessica Blaine Elwell (Brian) and Halle Nicole Edwards; his great grandchildren, Jimmy "JJ" Glen Rhine, Jr., Masen Walker Rhine (Arion), Huston Brooks Edwards, Lydia Nell Veazey, Brody Thomas Turner, Blade Elliott Turner, Devon McDonald, Khristian McDonald, Jaiden Elizabeth Edwards, Lillian Edwards, Madeline Edwards, Briana Elwell and Kensley Grace Elwell; and his brother-in-law Howard Johnson (Sandra).
