She was predeceased by: her son Nathaniel Vandiver; and her grandparents, Jack, Bernice Adkins, Leo and Elizabeth Ferguson.
She is survived by: her parents, Gary Adkins and Roxie Adkins; her children, Rebecca Vandiver (Ricky Weeks) and Joseph Vandiver II; her stepchildren, Annabelle Black (Bennette) and Ernie Reuting III; and her sister Sandra Parks (Stephen). She is also survived by family members and friends.
