He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Gibbins, Sr. and Versie Linn Gibbins; his wives, Mary Hall Gibbins and Rachel Fleenor Gibbins; and his siblings, Maxine Folkner, Hulen Gibbins, Vancie Gibbins, Earl Gibbins, Jr., Sarah Hawthorne, Earnestine Whittenberg, Betty Whittenberg, Jessie Cox, Annie Carolyn Gibbins and Thelma Folkner.
He is survived by: his children, Aaron Gibbins, Kathy Harrison and Walt Gibbins; his grandchildren, Tiffany Faulkner Eaton, Samantha Harrison Smith, Jessie Gibbins and Jamie Gibbins; and his great grandchildren, Riley Gibbins and Naomi Gibbins. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
