He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stivers, Sr. and Ollie Mae Sheperd; and his siblings, Jerry Stivers, Maxine Ellison, Veda Goode and Ruth Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Stivers; his sons, Steve Stivers (Chella), John David Stivers and Scott Stivers (Starr); his grandchildren, Cortney Kohrs (Brian), Blake Stivers, Cassidy York (Hunter), Carly Stivers, Tyler Stivers, Ashlyn Stivers, Logan Lunsford and Bruce Hill; and his siblings, Mary Johnson (Richard), Ruby Wagner, Shirley Harker, Ricky Stivers, Tammy Pounds and Lisa Rhodes (Randy).
