He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, James A. Smith (PawPaw) and Stephen A. Kovach, Sr. (Poppy); his uncle James C. Smith; and his aunt Stacey Smith. He is survived by: his parents, Jay Kovach and Sherri Kovach; his sister Lauren Kovach Simco (Christopher B. Simco); his nibling Smith Simco; his grandmothers, Doris Smith and Ardith Kovach; his aunts and uncles, Terri (Steve Buckingham), Stephen (Renee Kovach), Donna (Steve Underwood), Cheryl (Daniel Burgess), Joyce (Michael McCall) and Rusty Smith; and his friends, Hunter Smith, Liz Coker, Eric Underwood, Brandon Willis, Justin Willis and Mike Willis.
