He was predeceased by: his parents, David Gentry-Blackmon and Nettie "Jackie" Gentry-Blackmon; his significant other Evonne Daphine Powell-Blackmon; his siblings, Mike Blackmon and Sandra Blackmon; his grandparents, John, Janie Blackmon, Oden and Ader Gentry; his in-laws, Sam and Eula Mae Powell; and his grandchildren, Quinton Wheeler, Parker Stroope, Asher Stroope and Avery Stroope.
He is survived by: his brother Donnie Blackmon of Hooks, TX.; and his children, Randall Wheeler (Sheila) of Foreman, AR, Preston Wheeler (Rowena) of Cove, AR, Damon Wheeler (Linda) of Duluth, MN and Shanna Stroope (Jeff) of Austin, AR.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Chandler Funeral Home (1015 W Collin Raye Dr, De Queen, AR 71832). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel (1015 W Collin Raye Dr, De Queen, AR 71832).
