He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Gilbert Barnhill and Rosa Corbett Barnhill; his grandparents, Henry Barnhill of Corning and Ellen Gilbert of Corning; his siblings, Mazie Palmer (Edwin), Mary Ellen McCord (Clifton), Bruce Barnhill (Frances), Roy Barnhill, Jr. (JoAnn Gooch) and Evelyn Leopard (Guy); and his son Robert, Jr. (Kathy McDaniels).
He is survived by: his wife Carlotta Elaine Smith of Crocketts Bluff, AR.; and his children, Jon (Marsha Kaye) of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Rex (Sandy DeJong) of Cabot, Arkansas, Jeter (Susie Fleming) of Marietta, Georgia and Ekko Barnhill of Cabot, Arkansas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
His eldest son, Robert, Jr. (Kathy McDaniels) died in 2022 from complications of Covid.
