He was predeceased by: his parents, Buddy Taylor and Faye Taylor (Carter); his sister Glenda Gail Taylor; and his pet Bo. He is survived by: his son Wesley Taylor; his daughter-in-law Haley Lagasse; his siblings, Buddy Taylor (Connie) and Sandy Gray (Bruce); his nieces and nephews, Buddy Taylor Jr., Stacy Taylor, Jennifer Tharp Mills and Erin Hunt; his great-niece Presley; and his nephew Oakley Hunt.
