He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lige Melton and Hassie Melton (Brantley); his former wife Juanita Melton; his children, Donald, Roy Melton and Joy Melton; his son-in-law Harold McGuire; his siblings, Wayne Melton, Gladys Barber, Mary Davenport and Martha Kidwell; his wife Dottie Hatcher Melton (Wallace); his daughters, Beverly McGuire of Cabot and Janet Laird (Kevin) of Jonesboro; his stepchildren, Travis Hatcher (Candi) of Forrest City, David Hatcher (Micaela) of Huntsville, Karen Roseth (Kevin) of Wynne, Lillian Criss (Jeremy) of Wynne, Heather Brewer of Forrest City and Sandra Stevenson of Forrest City; his brother Rayburn Melton (Judy) of Forrest City; and his brother-in-law Al Utley of Levesque. He was also cherished by 24 grandchildren and their spouses; a multitude of great-grandchildren.
