He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Alexander and Virginia Belt Alexander; his brother Steve Alexander; his sister-in-law Gaynelle Alexander; and his nephew Stephen Alexander.

He is survived by: his wife Darline Alexander; his daughters, Laura Alexander and April Murphy (Ben); his grandchildren, Farrah and Austin; his brothers, Gary Alexander (Holly) of Bonnerdale and Andy Alexander (late Sharon) of Astoria; his sisters-in-law, Shelba Bradshaw (Harold) of Camden and Gail Holton (late Willis) of Camden; his great-niece Allie Alexander of Hot Springs; and his close friends, Anwar Ali of Madison, Chuck Anthony of Bearden and Johnny Belt of Bearden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Women's Crisis Center of South Arkansas, the organization that was close to his heart.
