It is with sadness that the passing of David G Slocum (Camden, Arkansas) is shared. David, born on August 30, 1942 in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, passed away on September 21, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald "Doc" Slocum and Rene Slocum; his mother-in-law Gladys Jones; his son Sherman Howland; his great grandchild Seth Stewart; his siblings-in-law, Imogene Duncan, Harris Randle and Jimmy Duncan; and his great grandchild Madison Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Fern; his children, Nanette Porter (Mike) of Camden, AR, Laurence Howland (Lisa) of Camden, AR, David Slocum, Jr. (Fran) of Royal, AR and Gena Medford (Rob) of Euless, TX; his siblings, Ginger Randle of Sherwood, AR and Joe Slocum (Christy) of Bella Vista, AR; and his grandchildren, Todd Stewart (Cindy), Tony Stewart, Chris Howland, Trista Howland, Trey Howland, Patrick Phillips (Stephanie), Jon David Slocum (Rachel), Maggie Gibson (Brian), Gracie Perry (Bud), Dustin Medford (Kaylie) and Katy Medford. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren & on one the way; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Maul Road Church of Christ (1425 Maul Rd NW, Camden, AR 71701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lakeside Cemetery.
