He was predeceased by: his girlfriend Glenda Stroud; his father James; and his siblings, John F. Porchia, Dave Ware, James Nettles, Barbara Childs and Deverna Cummings.
He is survived by: his son George Bates (Bree) of Leola, AR; his sister Alena Key; his niece Keshia Howard of Camden; his grandchildren, Tre, Aurbraeanna, Demetrious, Amia and Trinity; and his great grandchildren, Carson, Conner, Ivy, Demetrious Jr. and Trinity. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
