He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim David May and Vivian Freeman May; his wife Alma Jean; and his sisters, Pat and Tina.
He is survived by: his children, David May (Sandy), Tommy Crowder (Jody), Glenda Copeland of Jonesboro and Angela Goforth (Gerald) of Bay; and his siblings, Billy May of Kentucky, Jimmy May of California, Bobbie Joe and Vickie. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
