He was predeceased by: his son Donald "Crockett" Brewer. He is survived by: his wife Judy J. Brewer (Schrimsher); his son Douglas L. Brewer (Lisha); his grandchildren, Monica Croucher (Rob), Gene Brewer (Jenny), Brandon Brewer (Alyssa), Matthew Brewer (Brittney), Jessica Skillern (Lukas), Donnavan Brewer (Cortney), Cody Brewer and Chelsea Brewer-Griggs (Jason); and his sisters, Martha "Sis" Swanson (Fred) of Texas, Betty-Lou May of Ward, Arkansas. and Lily Sanders (Teddy) of Ward, Arkansas.. He is also survived by his 23 Great-Grandchildren.
