She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis King and Junia King (Thompson); her husband Harold Boyd (Shelton); and her siblings, Margie Emerson, Shelby Hughes and Gary Wayne King.
She is survived by: her children, David Boyd of Cave City, Arkansas and Vallerie Boyd Cargill of Van Buren, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Kevin Boyd, Megan Cargill and Andrew Cargill; her great grandchildren, J. J., Kala, Jaxson and Amelia; and her sister Geneva Emerson (King). She is also survived by nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rings Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
