We are sad to announce that on June 2, 2025, at the age of 84, Johnny Eugene Garrett Sr. of Cedarville, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Garrett and Vernie Garrett (Dodson); and his son Denny Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Betty Garrett; his children, Doris Jones (Bill) of Cedarville, Susan Kay Garrett (Rodney) of Olivehurst, CA, Melissa L. Cummins (Lester) of Van Buren, Inez Boyd of Van Buren, Jewell Mattingly (Darrell) of Van Buren, Lenell Dye of Van Buren, Clifta Sutton of Fairmont, MN and Donny Garrett (Becky) of Van Buren; and his sister Joyce Upton of Alabama. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, and forty-three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home (4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gill Cemetery.
