Bettye King Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2025, at the age of 98, Bettye King of Charleston, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Bowen and Pearl Bowen (Brotherton); her siblings, Doris Paul and Billy Bowen; and her husband Paul King.
She is survived by: her children, Randy King, Steven King (Sheila) and Susan Armacost (Scott); her grandchildren, Miki Biggers (Coe), Jordon King (Josh Dougherty), Kaleb King (Chelsea), Austin King (Samantha), Connor Armacost, Alexis McCasquez (Jose) and Bryce Sinnett (Logan); and her great grandchildren, Kane, Krew King, Parker and Kendall Sinnett. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Charleston (1205 E Main St, Charleston, AR 72933). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at the Memories Cemetery.
