He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Maud Stubblefield (Davis) and Orb Allen Stubblefield; and his siblings, H. T. "Tottie" Stubblefield, Orb Allen Jr. Stubblefield, Jerry Stubblefield, Faye Robertson, Regean Howard, Angeline White and Sarah Stubblefield.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Stubblefield (Orsburn); his sons, James Stubblefield Jr. (Jody), Jeff Stubblefield (Misty Hiatt) and Joe Stubblefield (Missy); his grandchildren, James Stubblefield III (Julie), Nikki Hastings (Lee), Lee Stubblefield (Alicia), Emily Stubblefield and Braxton Stubblefield (Emily); and his great grandchildren, Mary Hardin, Harry Hastings, Lukas, Ava, Liam Stubblefield and Amelia Stubblefield.
