He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Bredernitz and Verna Bredernitz (Knight); and his sister Marcia Means. He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Pointer (Nick) of Alma, Laura Backus (Adam) of New York and Kara Sampley of Alma. He is also survived by his family, his dogs.
