He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hicks and Flossie Hicks; and his siblings, Sandra Jean Hicks, Marion Hicks and Michael Hicks.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Jean Garland; his children, Christie Matthews (David) of Texas, April Criner (Shelton) of Stuttgart, Belinda Locke (James) of Jonesboro and Jeffrey Andrews (Brandy) of Wynne, Arkansas; and his siblings, Mary Alice White of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Bill Hicks (Diane) of Tennessee and Rodney Hicks (Patsy) of Wheatley, Arkansas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
