With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Mae Payne of Chester, Arkansas, born in Malvern, Arkansas, who passed away on June 16, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald Friddle and Georgia Friddle (Miller); her former life partner James Leonard Payne; and her brothers, Ray and Donnie Friddle.

She is survived by : her husband Chester Sawmill; her daughters, Shannon Smith (Patrick) of Chester and Holly Seratt (Randy) of Chester; her stepdaughter Jennie Cole (Steve); her sister Wanda Baldwin of Chester; her grandchildren, Marina DeWater, William Seratt (Haley), Caitlyn Bray (Jeremy), Candice Smith (Dax Brown), Wyatt Seratt, Austin Cole and Cole Seratt; and her great grandchildren, Walker Koperski and Cooper DeWater.
